this game is not fun…yeah its cool cause u can fight with the UFC guys but the gameplay is not fun at all…

I played UFC 2009 until the disk nearly melted so I was extremely psyched about 2010. I pre-ordered the game and picked it up at midnight at a local store. That night I tried to sign onto the online mode (which is HEAVILY hyped with Fight Camps and Tournaments) and was unsuccessful. 5 days later we still cannot enjoy the online features. If you have the insane luck to get a match started you will spend the next few minutes suffering through a lag-fest I haven’t seen since Doom on my classic PC.
As for the offline mode it’s enjoyable enough, the career mode takes a bit to get comfortable in with the stat decay and Fight Camp build-a-moveset features. Computer submissions come too easy so maybe you’ll see why you don’t get a trophy for an undefeated career, it’s next to impossible. The controls are comparable to 2009 and all in all I have enjoyed it. Sadly, they sold me a 2010 game with online capabilities and I received something comparable to WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2006.
I have already prepared to trade this back in in a week and am looking forward to EA MMA. This may be the biggest disappointment I’ve seen from UFc since, well, Rampage’s nap against the cage at UFC 114.

Not much change since 2009, just the sway system added. Gameplay is most important not worth more than $30, although presentation is good. 95% the punches and kicks are similar among all fighters, no improvement there. Botton smashing continues and allow people with Turbo Controller to cheat. Online is very laggy. Characters still move in a very ackward, mechanical fashion. Rent it first and rent ea mma in few months before you decide which one you like, then you can make an better inform decision. Competition is great for us MMA fans. No more bs Madden minimal update year after year. Price is already lower cause it ain’t worth $60 THQ knows that.

Yukes and THQ strike again. From the people who bring you yearly WWE Smackdown updates and charge you $60 for them… proudly now do the same with the UFC franchise. It boggles my mind that Dana White was foolish enough to sign on for more games with THQ knowing how they rape the WWE games apart.
This year’s UFC game has all new….. cage animations. Slightly better graphics… and more or less, that is about it.
The hardcore fans are claiming this game is an all-new sensation, but when I first played the demo before release I saw nothing new nor different. After playing it for several hours, I still have the same opinions on the full release version.
What makes it so different? Quite honestly… nothing to sing home about. If you’ve played 2009, you have played 2010.
A nice list of cons include;
-Robotic fighting remains. Animations make it look like a new-age Rock Em Sock Em Robots.
-Submission system broken. Shouldn’t be surprised considering how badly Yukes destroyed submissions in WWE games. Basically… you can have 100 in Submission Offense as well as Defense and on Beginner setting you STILL can’t submit anyone when they’re dead on their feet. The AI? The AI can snap a submission on you 15 seconds into the fight and get an instant submission every single time. THQ calls this “the AI learning as you go”. All it is, is the AI being cheap.
-Nothing worth unlocking. Yay… you can unlock nicknames and clothes. Am I supposed to be impressed? You can unlock Shaq with a code, but he has no special moves to use. No high kicks, no hard punches. NOTHING.
-Online is a joke. I have tried a dozen times over 2 days to get an online match going and the only response I get from their online server is “room is no longer available.” For a company charging a chunk of players to use Online… not so smart to not have it working at all.
-Over 100 fighters? Hmmm… I didn’t count that many. Possible with the lower tier guys in Career Mode while you’re in the WFA, but I don’t see over 100 playable characters in Exhibition.
You need to be a die-hard UFC fan to enjoy this game. THQ & Yukes need to be put out of business fast if this is what they call quality merchandise!
