Plantasia is a time management game in which you work to restore the gardens on an old, falling-apart estate. You're required to plant, harvest, and take care of your plants in order to earn enough to restore the garden statues. Plantasia offers four different gardens, each with a variety of levels, and you've got to restore them all to complete the game. I strongly agree with the previous reviewer who said that while this was similar to Cake Mania and Diner Dash in objective, it's different enough that it feels like a new kind of game. I'd classify it with the other farm-type games: Alice Greenfingers, Magic Farm, etc. I really enjoy this game: beautiful scenery, cute plants (they have faces and emotions) and lots of fun.

This game was addicting for me; I played the web version over and over until I finally bought it from Amazon. I couldn't wait for it to get here, and when it did, I spent hours on the computer. I beat it relatively quickly, but then I went back and tried to ace all levels and do the endless garden. I would recommend this to anyone; even kids!

I got it in Plantasia, a multi-tasking frenzy of gardening fun. This game is similar to Diner Dash and Cake Mania, but the nature of the tasks is dissimilar enough to make it feel almost like a different type of game. There are 2 modes, "Holly's Story" and "Garden Challenge". The story line is very cute and will appeal to young girls playing the game. The challenge mode is a timed game for your attempts at besting your own high scores. I finished this one more quickly than Cake Mania...BUT the final moon garden does give you a healthy bit of frustration. A super game!!

I picked this up for my eight year old, off of a recommendation here on Amazon. The key to the game is that it is great for a bright eight year old, a nice mix of simplified simulation and process control.

Will she outgrow it? No doubt, and in a couple of years she would be too old, a couple of years younger and she wouldn't have gotten any of it. The game fits a niche, but within the niche is easily worth four or five dollars.
